There’s actually nothing special about that video. Just Charles Bridge, the Vltava River, Old Town Bridge Tower, and the Church of St Francis Seraph. All of this has been photographed or filmed a million times.

But there is also what makes Prague so magical, enchanting, and unmistakable. The peace of that city. A calm that comes from the fact that one can realize what this beautiful city has been through in its thousand years of existence. These were often very dramatic moments and the city has not only lived through them but – first of all – has survived them.

And it is certainly no coincidence that the Vltava River was one of the inspirations for Bedřich Smetana’s symphonic poem My Country.

It`s really very easy to love Prague.
