Have you ever traveled to some new beautiful place, looked around and thought to yourself: Gee, this is a cool place – and I don’t care what is going to cost me to have fun here, I am not really curious about anything interesting to see, I don’t really care what is so special about all this, or what they will feed me? Of course not.

While there may be a few people among us who don’t care or worry about all of this, most of us are curious, eager to learn and explore and also at least a little thrifty so we have means to get more for less. If you are one of us and you are planning to visit Prague, have been to Prague or just would love to explore Prague via the internet, this is the right place for you.

While you may find other places online with good information from other travelers, we would like to offer you a little more – on the top of travel tips - some ideas and information what, when and why to see, a transportation guide, money-saving suggestions, great dinning recommendations, and much more directly from knowledgeable locals.

We are bringing you a lot of useful, interesting and valuable information in our articles, romantic and sometimes even mysterious beauty in our pictures, fun and education in our videos, all spiced up with many entertaining stories from our precious heart of Europe.

I hope we can fulfill your expectations and would love to hear from you in the comments!

Pavlina O`Toole

Editor and journalist

I live in the U.S. with my husband and 4 children but I was born and raised in the Czech Republic. My children and I are very proud of our Czech heritage, language, and culture. We try to visit my country of birth as often as possible.

Our mixed family enjoys both Czech and American traditional cuisine, culture and traditions and we feel very lucky to be able to do so.

Besides my day job in the public service, my passions are travel, writing, gardening, history, and a lot of reading. I have been fascinated by many stories from around the world since I was a little girl, and especially the ones from my home.

Being an author of a novel and a script for the movie Kevin Alone in Prague, I am extremely excited to work on this project to bring to you all the fun, interesting and helpful information about our beautiful Prague.

Jana Smetankova

Editor and journalist

I love theatre, journalism, and writing. First of all, I became a journalist and wrote Two Queens, theatre play about the relationship between Mary Stuart and Elizabeth I. I have established Thespis, a publishing house that released many DVDs with theatre plays records. And also the web portal O divadle (About theatre).

When Pavlina and I decided to set up publishing house Hummingbird Stories, we knew from the beginning that our first project would be about Prague because it is a wonderful city full of stories, beauty, and charm. This is how a movie Kevin Alone in Prague was created, a charming story of a 13-year-old American guy exploring Prague.

Here, at Our Beautiful Prague blogs, we want not only to talk to you about Prague. We want to help you discover Prague and to help make you feel immediately at home in this beautiful city.

Omar Jamaein

Travel expert

I am an active tricenarian, a fresh father, a native Praguean and a travel lover. I have traveled through many countries of the world from Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Far East. But I always like to return home to Prague, which I consider to be the most beautiful city in the world, despite all my travel experience.

I transformed my traveler passion into a business and founded a travel agency that helps travelers to discover the world on their own. I make individual tailor-made travel itineraries to the countries I was lucky to know.

And because I have always most appreciated the advice and recommendations of the locals during my travels, I have teamed up with Jana and Pavlina and their amazing project to help you, foreign visitors, discover the beauty of our country.
