The perennial garden Květnice was established between the years 1935 and 1937 as part of the Rose Orchard. It is a relatively small enclosed area adjacent to the city walls of the Baroque fortifications. Květnice is unique among the gardens of Prague in its concept and in a rich collection of over a hundred various species of woody plants and perennials.
The garden is part of Petřín Park (Petřínské sady) and is located above Nebozízek in the proximity of the Rose Orchard (Růžový sad).
