In 1916, Mr. Zoufalý opened his famous delicatessen on Jungmannovo náměstí (Jungmann Square). His store was where Starbucks is today. In 1948, the delicatessen was renamed Zlatý kříž (Golden Cross), and after 1989 it moved a little further down the street. The most popular open-faced sandwich here is still a sandwich with ham and potato salad, but you can enjoy many other types.
