There is a house in Vodičkova Street that doesn’t seem to fit in with the surrounding buildings.  A relatively low baroque house, surrounded by houses twice as high.

It was built by the most influential Czech Baroque architect, Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer (1689 – 1751), who also built dozens of famous buildings, including the Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Resslova Street.

Today, the famous restaurant and furniture sales gallery, Styl & Interiér, occupies the unique home. They are well-known for their cuisine. You will have sweet dreams about their cakes.

The yard and garden of the house extend deep inside the block of houses. You would not expect what peace and quiet you will experience at lunch or dinner in the garden, which is just a few steps from Wenceslas Square. It is a place you will love to return to.
